Red’s winning Snow Cone Martini

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (April 9, 2014) – Red’s Fresh Seafood House & Tavern in Cape Coral certainly knows seafood, but it also knows how to make a great martini.

Red’s recently unveiled its new martini menu and took first place in the South Cape Hospitality and Entertainment Association’s Eighth Annual Best South Cape Martini Competition.

The restaurant beat out the other local competitors with its Snow Cone Martini made with whipped vodka, Amaretto, raspberry juice and ice cream.

In addition to the Snow Cone, Red’s new martini menu features 14 recipes including the Appletini, Lemon Drop, Orange and Pomegranate martinis as well as more creative concoctions. The Bokeelia Martini is made with premium citron vodka, and grapefruit and pineapple juices with a splash of Grand Marnier. The Hot and Dirty Martini includes premium vodka with olive juice and a dash of Tabasco sauce. The Mexican Martini is made from Patrón tequila, Cointreau, lime and orange juices, and sour mix, and garnished with olives and a salt rim. There are also the Godiva Chocolate Martini, Mango Martini, Milky Way Martini, Strawberry Cheesecake Martini, Sunset, Washington Apple and a White Boot Martini made with Grand Marnier, Frangelico, vanilla vodka and cream with a nutmeg garnish and graham cracker rim.

Located just south of Cape Coral Parkway at 850 Lafayette Street, Red’s is open for lunch seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 
3 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. Red’s Cape Coral location also offers a daily early-bird menu from 3 to 5 p.m.

The early-bird menu includes eight items priced from $9.99 to $12.99 and features prime rib, chicken parmesan, fish and chips, mussels marinara, BBQ ribs, fresh garden salad with salmon, shrimp scampi and fried shrimp.

An extensive wine menu and full bar are available. Reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more.

Red’s Cape Coral location features 7,100 square feet of space with 60 available parking spots, two dining rooms, seating for more than 200 people and a spacious outside sports bar and patio dining area with 12 flat-screen TVs which include the MLB Package and Golf package. Live music is also available.

Red’s opened on Pine Island in 2005 and is well known for its always fresh, never frozen seafood. While seafood is Red’s main feature, its menu also offers ribs, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, burritos and more.
