FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 23, 2014) – Steve Brettholtz, president and shareholder of Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, Certified Public Accountants & Business Consultants and Gregory J. Blurton, vice president wealth strategist with Investors’ Security Trust, will be the guest speakers at the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Lee County, Inc.’s meeting on Thursday, April 24.

The meeting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Blue Coyote Business and Social Club located at 9854 Caloosa Yacht and Racquet Drive in Fort Myers.

Brettholtz and Blurton will be addressing how the Florida Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act ((F)UPMIFA) impacts nonprofit organizations.

Established in 1994, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, formerly the Planned Giving Council, provides programs presented by expert speakers, symposiums, networking and guidance to development and estate-planning professionals involved in all aspects of charitable giving.

Brettholtz is a frequent lecturer for both local and national organizations and is recognized as an accredited provider of continuing education courses for the State of Florida Licensed Community Association Managers. He is a member of the Florida, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is certified in Financial Forensics.

Brettholtz’s years of accounting experience include numerous assignments in all phases of nonprofit organizations and various business entities.
