FORT MYERS, Fla. (Feb. 9, 2015) – Rib City is sponsoring a new contest for kids to get up close and personal at a Boston Red Sox Spring Training game for the 2015 season.

As part of its “Kids Call The Game” sponsorship, the Fort Myers-headquartered barbecue chain will be holding an in-house drawing to select four lucky kids to announce players’ names as they approach home plate for their at bat for one inning during a Boston Red Sox Spring Training game at JetBlue Park, located at 11500 Fenway South Drive in Fort Myers, during the 2015 season.

Winners will be drawn from those who have registered at any Lee or Collier County Rib City location.

One semi-final winner will be drawn from each of Rib City’s 10 Lee and Collier County locations on Sunday, March 1. Each of these semi-finalists will win a $50 gift certificate to Rib City. From the semi-finalists, four winners will be drawn for the opportunity to announce the “at bats” at the March 7, 14, 22 or 29 home game at JetBlue Park. Winners will also receive four free game tickets. Any child from 10 to 17 years old may register until March 1.

Rib City has 10 Lee and Collier County stores located at 80 West Hancock Bridge Parkway and 4836 Leonard Street in Cape Coral, 10431 Corkscrew Commons Drive in Estero, 13908 State Road 80 and 11561 Majestic Palms Boulevard in Fort Myers, 1480 Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres, 13181 North Cleveland Avenue in North Fort Myers, 9191 North Tamiami Trail and 3871 East Tamiami Trail in Naples, and 621 North 15th Street in Immokalee.

According to company President Craig Peden, for the fourth consecutive year, Rib City has signed on as an official concession vendor at JetBlue Park for the 2015 Spring Training season under Aramark, the Red Sox food and beverage partner and concessionaire. Rib City will sell its award-winning baby back ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and sides along Fenway South Drive – a street festival reminiscent of Yawkey Way in Boston. The company will also supply a la carte items to the private suites and picnics.

“We are very excited to be bringing our quality barbecue products once again to all of the Red Sox Spring Training fans this season and additionally serving as the official ‘Kid’s Call The Game’ Sponsor this year,” said Peden.

The Rib City concession at the park will begin serving on Friday, March 6 when the Miami Marlins come to JetBlue Park beginning at 1:05 p.m. The 2015 Spring Training schedule includes 18 games at JetBlue Park.
