FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2015) – More than a dozen staff members of Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, Certified Public Accountants & Business Consultants and their families recently spent a weekend day completing a United Way Day of Caring at Child Care of Southwest Florida, Inc.’s Joseph H. Messina Children’s Center in Fort Myers.

Participants spent the day cleaning up the current landscaping, adding new landscape enhancements, cleaning windows and painting at the childcare facility.

“Helping others in our community and seeing the smiles on the faces of the recipients is one of the greatest joys of our company,” said Lori Sampson, shareholder with the firm. “Our employees really enjoy giving back to the community, whether it’s providing manual labor to improve a nonprofit’s site, delivering healthy meals to the needy, providing a Thanksgiving meal to at-risk girls or decorating scarecrows for a good cause.”

For more than 40 years, Child Care of Southwest Florida, Inc. (CCSWFL) has been providing services to children, families and child care professionals in Southwest Florida. The nonprofit currently has more than 100 employees serving more than 600 children each year at its six different child care centers in Hendry and Lee counties.
