Suffolk Construction begins construction at Moorings Park Phase IV Grey Oaks
Estero, Fla. – October 27, 2015 – Suffolk Construction, one of the largest building contractors in Southwest Florida, has started construction on Phase IV of the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks Continuing Care Retirement Community at the corner of Airport-Pulling Road and Golden Gate Parkway in Naples, Florida. The project marks the continuation of a partnership between Suffolk Construction, Moorings Park, and architects Perkins Eastman and BSSW Architects, Inc.

Upon completion of construction, the 5.73-acre Phase IV parcel will host Moorings Park at Grey Oaks’ Grand Place that will feature two structures totaling 185,700 square feet. Grand Place will include a four-story 179,500 square-foot clubhouse and 38 residence Assisted Living and Memory Care Center with a parking structure, as well as a separate 6,200 square-foot Center for Healthy Living. Thirteen choice, penthouse-style independent living Residences at Grand Place that range from 1,858 to 2,696 square feet are included in the design of the clubhouse and offer a final opportunity to enjoy a newly constructed residence at Moorings Park at Grey Oaks.
Grand Place is situated adjacent to the Viridian Gardens, one of three spectacular 80,000 square- feet gardens designed by JRL Landscape Design Studios of Naples that will define and link the community’s three neighborhoods. Plans call for the Viridian Gardens to provide an open green space. The design’s open multi-purpose lawn areas are slated to be finished with finely textured grasses intended to host a variety of activities, including bocce ball and lawn bowling. An arbor in the center of the green space is designed to provide a gathering place.
The clubhouse built to LEED Certification standards will offer a variety of places for Moorings Park at Grey Oaks’ residents to enjoy socializing with friends and family members, including a comfortable lounge, a variety of casual and formal indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a private dining room, a creative arts studio, fitness center, salon and spa, covered outdoor terraces, rooftop gardens, a resort-style pool, a poolside Bistro, and a ballroom for dinner dances, lectures, and large gatherings.
A Premier Senior Health Care Program will be provided at the nearby Center for Healthy Living. Essential components of the Premier Senior Health Care Program include access to a geriatric trained clinician 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; a customized Personal Health Care Plan; assignment of a Care Coordinator to facilitate appointments and specialist follow-ups; a comprehensive geriatrics assessment; staff hospital visitation and consultation with attending Physicians; access to medical testing and lab work; and facilitation of care anywhere in the United States.
