Red Sox 2016 Spring Training schedule

BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox 2016 Spring Training season begins February 18 at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Lee County, FL. Spring Training is presented by CVS Pharmacy.

Tickets for the 17 home exhibition games go on sale Saturday, December 5, and will remain at 2015 prices. Red Sox Destinations packages, which offer VIP experiences for fans during Spring Training, are available now at redsox.com/springdestinations.

Fans can purchase Spring Training tickets starting at 10 a.m. at JetBlue Park at redsox.com.  Fans needing ADA accessible seating or those who may not have a computer may call 877-REDSOX9. Hearing impaired fans may call the Red Sox TTY line at (617) 226-6644. MasterCard is the preferred card provider of the Boston Red Sox.

Pitchers and catchers report February 18 and hold their first workouts February 19. The first full squad workout will take place February 24.  Workouts are free and open to the public.

The team opens its exhibition season Monday, February 29, at 1:05 p.m., with a single admission double header against the Boston College Eagles and the Northeastern University Huskies.

The Grapefruit League schedule launches at home at JetBlue Park on Wednesday, March 2, against their Chairman’s Cup rival, the Minnesota Twins. The Grapefruit League home opener is the first of seven contests between the cross-town foes.

The Red Sox will visit their American League East rival New York Yankees on Saturday, March 5, in Tampa, and will then host them Tuesday, March 15, at 6:05 p.m., one of only two night games on the home schedule.  Other division matchups include four games versus the Baltimore Orioles, four against the Tampa Bay Rays, and four against the Toronto Blue Jays, two of which will take place in Montreal as part of a two-game exhibition series at Olympic Stadium on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2.

The club will once again hold an Open House at JetBlue Park on Saturday, February 27.  The free event, open to the public, welcomes fans to walk around the park and the grounds, while enjoying concessions and entertainment on Fenway South Drive – a street festival inspired by Yawkey Way in Boston. The Open House is presented by Back to Nature Foods.

The Red Sox’ equipment truck will depart from Fenway Park on Wednesday, February 10.  Truck Day is presented by JetBlue.
