FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2015) – In partnership with the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and the United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades counties, Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, Certified Public Accountants & Business Consultants, will hold its 14th Annual Nonprofit Seminar on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the United Way, located at 7273 Concourse Drive in Fort Myers.
Since 2001, Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA has sponsored seminars focused on the needs of nonprofits in the areas of human resources, fundraising, accounting practices and finance.
This year’s program, “Getting your Nonprofit Down to Business,” will include guest speaker Heather Christie, J.D. who will provide an educational program designed to benefit executive directors, CEOs and board members. Christie is a master certified executive and leadership coach, facilitator, and trainer, and a founding partner of the John Maxwell Leadership Coaching Team. She has consistently ranked as one of the top coaches in the world. As Owner of Evolve Global, she works primarily with nonprofit clients on strategic and operational planning, leadership, fundraising, recruiting, retention and execution.
Christie will provide valuable information and tools on operating a nonprofit like a business, creating a 21st Century board, engaging a board beyond meetings, understanding what funders what to see at your organizations, implementing successful leadership and succession planning, creating a brand that matters, developing successful marketing plans, fundraising like a rock star, understanding the difference between managing, mentoring and coaching, and more.
Registration for the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. A continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be served.
