NAPLES, Fla. (March 11, 2016) – Ryan Benson, MBA, principal with A. Vernon Allen Builder, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.
Originally from Canada, Benson has lived in Florida for almost 20 years. After graduating from Canterbury School in Fort Myers, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and his Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University in Miami. He has been in the construction industry for 15 years and joined A. Vernon Allen Builder in 2007. In 2013, he and Andrew Bringardner acquired the firm.
Benson holds a LEED Green Associate accreditation and is a certified building contractor, real estate broker and community association manager. He is very involved in several community organizations including previously serving as president of Naples Gulf Shore Rotary Club from 2013 to 2014 and was on the board of trustees for Canterbury School for five years. He also continues to guest lecture at Stetson’s School of Business.
The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County is dedicated to promoting the education, vocational and health leadership, and character of boys and girls in a safe environment. It offers award-winning programs to help youth build self esteem and values, and serves 3,000 children and teens, ages 6 to 18, in their clubs and afterschool programs, and through their partnership with the Naples Children and Education Foundation, and Florida’s 21st Century.
