FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 25, 2016) – The Junior League of Fort Myers, Inc. will hold its 34th Annual Taste of the Town on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at JetBlue Park, located at 11500 Fenway South Drive in Fort Myers.

The Junior League’s Taste of the Town is Southwest Florida’s original “taste” event and one of the largest outdoor food and entertainment festivals.

Funds from this one-day event benefit the JLFM, whose volunteer mission provides thousands of dollars annually in volunteer services and donations to programs supporting women and children in Southwest Florida. Past funds have supported the Junior League’s national program Kids in the Kitchen to help fight childhood obesity, life-skills training with at-risk girls, programs to support early-learning and childhood literacy, as well as work throughout the community in partnership with many local nonprofit organizations through the League’s Helping Hands program.

Restaurants that have already committed for the 2016 event include Connor’s Steak & Seafood, Fathoms Restaurant & Bar, Kona Ice, Love Boat Ice Cream, Matanzas on the Bay, Mona Lisa Italian Restaurant, PDQ, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Tijuana Flats and The Melting Pot.

Interested restaurants and vendors may reserve a spot at this year’s event by calling 239-277-1197 or emailing totrestaurants@jlfm.org. Space is limited to 50 restaurants, and the deadline to reserve is Sept. 30.
