Monies raised will benefit scholarships for local high-school students

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Aug. 28, 20117) – As part of its continuing community outreach efforts, the Red Sox Foundation will once again hold its Ultimate Red Sox Raffle.

This ultimate Red Sox fan experience includes a trip for four to Boston with four roundtrip airline tickets on JetBlue Airways, a two-night stay at the Hotel Commonwealth, tickets to two games at Fenway Park including seats on the Green Monster and a VIP Tour and dinner in the State Street Pavilion at Fenway Park. Only 100 raffle tickets will be sold at $75 each with all proceeds going to support the Lee County Red Sox Foundation’s scholarship fund.

The Lee County Red Sox Scholarship is in partnership with The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, Inc. Each year, the Red Sox Foundation awards a $5,000 college scholarship to one deserving student from each of the 13 public high schools in Lee County.

The Red Sox Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. The foundation’s primary focus locally is in serving the health, education, recreation and social service needs of children and families across Southwest Florida. The Red Sox Foundation is one of the most successful in all of Major League Baseball.
