Estero, Fla.  –  October 31, 2017 – Suffolk recently partnered with industry partners to raise money for the American Heart Association’s annual Collier County Heart Walk. Suffolk’s Chief Operating Officer Pete Tuffo, a long-time supporter of the cause, serves as this year’s Heart Walk chair.

More than 30 people attended the kickoff event that was held on October 19th at the Veranda restaurant in downtown Fort Myers.  During the event, guests were able to hear stories from families whose lives have been changed by the efforts of the American Heart Association.  The event also featured activity stations to represent the four pillars of wellness that support a healthy heart – all part of Suffolk’s Live Smart initiative.

The event served as an official kickoff to the Heart Walk in order to raise life-saving dollars in support of the mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke, the nation’s No.1 and No.5 killers.

Sponsorship levels announced at the event range from $1,000 to $5,000.

The kickoff event raised more than $23,000 towards the industry’s collective $50,000 goal for the 2017 Heart Walk which will take place on Saturday, November 4 at Cambier Park in Naples.
