FORT MYERS, Fla. – Cape Coral native and Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive back Jaylen Watkins will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with his hometown fans and friends at Society on Saturday, March 17.

Watkins recently won his first Super Bowl ring when the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41 to 33 in Super Bowl LII.

“We are really looking forward to having one of our hometown heroes join us for one of the biggest days of the year,” said Brad Cozza, owner/partner of Society. “St. Patrick’s Day is a huge celebration anyway but now it’s going to be even bigger to have Jaylen joining us. I can’t personally wait to say congrats and well-done on his Super Bowl win.”

According to Cozza, Watkins will be attending Society’s evening festivities on March 17. Located at the Bell Tower Shops, Society is Fort Myers’ newest modern American restaurant featuring multilevel dining and bar options from al fresco dining on the patio, banquette seating in the main dining area and the vibrant rooftop Treehouse.

Beginning at noon, Society’s will open for guests to enjoy innovative cuisine and craft cocktails as well as a special St. Patrick’s Day inspired menu and drink specials including $2 green draft beer and $5 Jameson throughout the 14,000 square-foot facility.

In honor of Watkins appearance, fans who wear their Philadelphia Eagles’ gear will enjoy a complimentary green beer on the house.

A native of Cape Coral, Watkins attended Cape Coral High School where he played he played quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back, leading his team to an 11-1 record in his senior season. He went on to play college football at the University of Florida before being drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Live entertainment will also begin at noon upstairs in the Treehouse including a solo set by Southwest Florida’s favorite Bob Tabarrini and the Jory Lyle band. In the evening, the internationally renowned DJ duo known as POSSO(which means “I CAN” in Italian) will entertain guests downstairs.

POSSO is the creative powerhouse of lifelong friends Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini. Technically skilled designers, songwriters, classically trained musicians and DJ’s, the duo have played clubs and festivals all over the world including: HARD Fest’s Holy Ship, EDC Las Vegas, Summer Sonic Tokyo, Create Nightclub LA, LIV Miami, Marquee Las Vegas, and LAVO New York.

Society serves lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with light bites available from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays with a late-night-bites menu available on weekend nights.
