FORT MYERS, Fla.– For the eighth consecutive year, members of the Red Sox uniformed personnel and front-office staff performed community service for two nonprofit agencies in Lee County, African Caribbean American Center (AFCAAM) and the Family Initiative and the Alliance for the Arts of Lee County during their annual Spring Training Days of Service.

At AFCAAM, Red Sox volunteers engaged with students from the Dunbar and Harlem Heights communities on the importance of teambuilding through various fun activities at the organization’s main community center in the Dunbar neighborhood of Ft Myers.

The Family Initiative event was held at JetBlue Park and included Red Sox volunteers working with children who are on the autism spectrum on an art project followed by playing a game of kickball on a practice field at Fenway South.
