FORT MYERS, Fla. (Feb. 12, 2014) – Scanlon Auto Group recently began construction of a brand-new Acura dealership that will be located off of US 41 at 14270 South Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers.
Scanlon’s Acura dealership will represent the latest “Generation III” Model Acura facility and the first of its kind in Southwest Florida.
Owen-Ames-Kimball Company will serve as the design/build team on the Acura project along with Ramon Acevedo, AIA of GMA Architects Planners as the project architect.
According to OAK, the new dealership will encompass an 11,000 square-foot floor plan aligning with the latest in Acura design elements. A two-bay enclosed and air conditioned new-car delivery area will also be added. Features will include tile flooring throughout both showroom and service shop work areas. Design intent will convey an abundance of exterior natural light throughout. Interior appointments and furnishings will reflect the latest in style and design.
A car wash facility will be constructed to service customers along with a complementary coffee bar, waiting room and available Wi-Fi connection.
Plans call for completion by late summer 2014.
“When the Acura dealership is completed, we will have invested more than $25 million into Lee County with our new construction projects located on 11.79 acres and created more than 40 new jobs,” said Jay Scanlon, vice president of Scanlon Auto Group. “We are proud to say more than 90 percent of the construction work is being completed by local subcontractors.
