ESTERO, Fla. (Dec. 9, 2015) – Suffolk Construction announced it has hired Matt Carland as regional virtual design and construction manager for its Southwest Florida operations team.
Prior to joining Suffolk, Carland worked on dozens of commercial projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, including office and medical complexes as well as residential high rises.
“We are thrilled that Matt has joined the Suffolk team,” said Pete Tuffo, chief operating officer for the southeast region of Suffolk Construction. “He is a highly skilled virtual design professional, and we look forward to the added value that his expertise will bring to our ‘build smart’ approach.”
In his new role, Carland will be responsible for the production and model development for all phases of projects, implementation of advanced technologies, and overall support to building information modeling and virtual design and construction initiatives for Suffolk’s Southwest Florida operations.
