FORT MYERS, Fla. (Nov. 2, 2016) – Just in time for the holiday season, the Veranda restaurant in downtown Fort Myers has expanded its private dining options.

The restaurant recently renovated its small dining room located upstairs over the lounge to include leather club chairs, rich finishes and expanded seating for 22.

“This is an elegantly appointed room that overlooks our lush, tropical garden courtyard,” said General Manager Dennis Genge. “Whether it’s a business function, wedding reception or special luncheon, our private dining rooms, restaurant and courtyard patio can accommodate a variety of events in a beautiful historic atmosphere unmatched in Fort Myers.”

The Veranda is celebrating 38 years of business in 2016. Consistently honored as one of the most award-winning dining establishments in the area, the restaurant is located at 2122 Second Street in two turn-of-the-century Victorian homes. It features southern regional cuisine with a full bar, extensive wine list and first-class service in a romantic setting.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. with a mid-day menu from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and dinner is served Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Private dining is also available from 10 to 400 guests. Live entertainment is featured in the Veranda’s piano lounge Wednesday through Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30. Valet or street parking is available.
