FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 9, 2013) – Local philanthropists are once again planning to raise money for three local nonprofits this fall.

Event chairs Michele Eddy and Lori Sampson-Wilson announce that the second annual 3 Wishes event will take place Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 from 6 p.m. to midnight, at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers.

This year’s theme is “The Cave of Wonders” and will include a captivating progressive dinner where guests will move through a marketplace, a sultan’s palace and finally on to the Cave of Wonders.

“We are so excited to be holding our 3 Wishes event at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center,” said Eddy. “We are creating a signature event that will bring awareness to our three local children’s charities, supported by a giving community.

“This event should be a ‘must-do’ on anyone’s event calendar,” said event co-chair Sampson-Wilson. “We will have an extraordinarily memorable experience for our attendees.”

Norman and Mary Love, of Norman Love Confections, have embraced the event and have joined as committee members.

“We are excited to be a part of such a unique event benefiting three amazing charities,” said the couple. “We look forward to transforming the Cave of Wonders into a scrumptious culinary evening.”

At last year’s event, more than 30 guests enjoyed a three-course progressive evening hosted by Michele Eddy, Gary King and Rose O’Dell King along with Norman and Mary Love. More than $30,000 raised was divided equally among three local charities: Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southwest Florida. Local chefs and restaurants provided food for the evening including Hemingways (Chef Justin Fleming), Sea Salt (Chef Fabrizio Aiello) and Norman Love Confections (Chef Norman Love).

According to Sampson-Wilson, this year’s goal will be to have all donations given back to the charities and costs covered by sponsorship dollars.
