FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 2, 2013) – Think you have what it takes to sing in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 10,000 people? The Boston Red Sox are currently looking for new talent to perform the national anthem for the upcoming 2014 Spring Training season at JetBlue Park.

All interested performers are invited to attend open auditions at JetBlue Park, located at 11500 Fenway South Drive in Fort Myers, on Tuesday, Jan. 14 and Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. All ages are welcome to audition.

Time slots will be reserved for those who RSVP to Brennan Whitley at 239-226-4783 or jbpevents@redsox.com. If anyone is unable to attend these dates, he or she can contact Whitley about submitting an audio recording. All reservations must be made by noon on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Space is limited.

The 2014 Spring Training schedule includes 17 games at JetBlue Park. The Red Sox will open the spring season with single-admission doubleheader exhibition games on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at 1:05 p.m. against the Northeastern University Huskies immediately followed by the Boston College Eagles.

The Red Sox will kick off the 2014 Grapefruit League schedule on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, when the Mayor’s Cup rival Minnesota Twins come to JetBlue Park beginning at 1:05 p.m.
