FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2013) – Sarah Owen, president and CEO of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, announces that Carolyn Conant and Christopher Hill, CFA have joined the foundation’s board of trustees.

A retired executive at the Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia, Conant began her career in 1974 working as a consultant and research associate at Gary Income Maintenance Research Experiment in Indiana. She later joined Tulane University in New Orleans as a director of institutional research. Conant received her master’s degree in social science, urban studies from the University of Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Indiana University. A longtime city of Cape Coral supporter, she has served on the Cape Coral Community Redevelopment Agency Board, the Underground Electric Committee of the City of Cape Coral and the Cape Coral Holiday Decorations Committee. Conant was also the co-chair of GreensCape for eight years, a volunteer landscaping organization that raised funds and landscaped Cape Coral medians on Del Prado Boulevard, Hancock Bridge Parkway and the memorial medians at the Cape Coral Parkway entrance to the city. She most recently heads the Cape Coral Bike Ped, a volunteer effort whose mission is to interconnect bike lanes, paths and sidewalks in Cape Coral.

Hill is a vice president and banker of J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he advices ultra high-net worth families, senior executives and foundations and endowments on a variety of matters including asset allocation and portfolio construction, traditional banking and liquidity alternatives, and estate-planning opportunities and executive strategies. He often works with the Private Bank’s Global Philanthropic Group to help clients crystalize their charitable objectives and implement programs consistent with their passions. Hill received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School and Master of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences. He earned his undergraduate degree from Barry University in Miami Shores. He is a certified financial advisor charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Miami. Hill has been a member of Big Brothers Big Sister of Greater Miami for 14 years where he currently sits on the executive board and board of directors and serves as chair of the Volunteer Recruitment/Partnerships Development Committee. He is also a member of the Barry University Student Managed Investment Fund Advisory Board.
