PINE ISLAND, Fla. (May 8, 2014) – Red’s Fresh Seafood House & Tavern recently won numerous awards during the 2014 Best of Pine Island, an annual public event sponsored by the Pine Island Eagle that recognizes island business owners and service providers in various categories.

Red’s Fresh Seafood won in the categories of Best Restaurant, Best Seafood, Best Server – Denine Post, Best Bartender – Adrianne Grabau and Best Chef – Russel Dame.

Only one ballot per person was allowed to be submitted, and all individuals needed to fill out at least 25 selections to qualify. No photocopies were accepted.

“It’s an honor that local Pine Island Eagle readers recognized Red’s for so many categories,” said Red’s owner Bud LoCicero. “We appreciate all the islanders who participated and want to give a big thank you to all of them for their support and votes.”

The categories listed under food and entertainment included best bar, chef, bartender, deli, hamburger, fish sandwich, happy hour, ice cream, seafood, pizza, waiter/waitress, breakfast, lunch, dinner and waterfront dining.

Red’s opened on Pine Island in 2005 and is well known for its always fresh, never frozen seafood. While seafood is Red’s main feature, its menu also offers ribs, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, burritos and more.

Located at 10880 Stringfellow Road on Pine Island, Red’s is open for dinner seven days a week Sunday through Thursday from 
4 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. An extensive wine menu and full bar are also available. Reservations are not accepted.

Red’s also has a Cape Coral location at 850 Lafayette Street just south of Cape Coral Parkway, that is open for lunch seven days per week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 
3 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. Red’s Cape Coral location also offers a daily early-bird menu from 3 to 5 p.m. Reservations at the Cape Coral location are accepted for parties of eight or more.
