FORT MYERS, Fla. (July 10, 2014) – Florida Governor Rick Scott recently recognized Red’s Fresh Seafood House & Tavern, located at 10880 Stringfellow Road on Bokeelia, for its safety and sanitation practices.

In a letter from Scott, he congratulated Red’s Fresh Seafood for being one of only 23 food service establishments in the state recognized during the most recent inspections conducted by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for not having any safety or sanitation violations during the past year.

“I applaud you and your employees for demonstrating such a high level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence,” wrote Scott.

Red’s opened on Pine Island in 2005 and has won numerous awards for its always fresh, never frozen seafood. While seafood is Red’s main feature, its menu also offers ribs, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, burritos and more.

Owners Bud and Mary LoCicero have a long tenure in the restaurant industry. Prior to opening Red’s on Pine Island, the couple owned and operated a number of restaurants and seafood markets on Sanibel, in Fort Myers, Ohio and Massachusetts.

Red’s on Pine Island is open for dinner seven days a week: Sunday through Thursday from
4 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. An extensive wine menu and full bar are also available. Reservations are not accepted.
