FORT MYERS, Fla. (Aug. 5, 2014) –Philip V. Howard has recently joined Osterhout & McKinney, P.A., as an associate attorney practicing in the area of elder law, specifically guardianship and fiduciary litigation.

Howard is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, the Lee County Bar Association and the Florida State Guardianship Association. While in law school, he served as president of FIU Law’s Federalist Society Student Chapter during his third year and was a member of the Christian Legal Society, FIU’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society and American Constitution Society Student Chapter.

Howard received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2013. His studies focused on the areas of employment law, local government law and corporate law with a focus on small business. Howard gained legal experience interning for the Lee County Attorney’s Office, FIU College of Law’s Community Development Clinic and the Employment and Economic Security Division of Legal Services of Greater Miami. He received his undergraduate degree in business management at Southeastern University in 2009.
