FORT MYERS, Fla. (Aug. 6, 2015) – Shoeless Joe’s Sports Café at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 13051 Bell Tower Drive in Fort Myers, will host a Beer Summit & Dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. with an outdoor reception and appetizers.

Featuring Punta Gorda-based Fat Point Brewing, the summit will include a guided tour of five Fat Point’s beers by the brewing company’s brew master as well as a seasonal four-course menu prepared by Crowne Plaza’s Executive Chef Hector Garcia:

First course: Sesame crusted seared Yellowfin tuna with a Wakami salad, sweet and sour chili sauce, and a pickled ginger salad

Second course: Goat Cheese salad with baby mixed greens, arugula, dried berries, candied pecans, mandarin oranges and raspberry vinaigrette

Third course: Grilled 24-ounce porterhouse steak served with Applewood bacon, cheddar cheese twice baked potato and sautéed fresh green beans

Fourth course: Vanilla crème brûlée

“These beer summits are a beer lover’s dream with unique brews, great food and, of course, a fun-loving crowd,” said Jim Larkin, general manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Bell Tower Shops. “The demand from past beer summit guests make this one of the most fun and creative events we host at the Crowne Plaza, and we are delighted to welcome Fat Point Brewing, being the company is so close in Punta Gorda with a beautiful new facility.”
