Moorings Park Beam Setting 2016

ESTERO, Fla. (March 7, 2016) – Suffolk Construction recently reached a significant milestone at the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks Phase IV project with the setting of the final steel beam. To mark the milestone, a celebratory beam signing was held on site with the construction team, the architect and ownership group.

“Suffolk continues to expand its presence throughout Southwest Florida, and the Moorings Park at Grey Oaks project demonstrates our commitment to providing the best solutions for our clients through our ‘build smart’ promise,” said Josh Christensen, vice president of Suffolk Construction.

To successfully reach the milestone, Suffolk leveraged lean principles including pull planning to schedule the most complex components of the project. By bringing together the design team and trade partners, Suffolk was able to create a detailed sequence for the structural steel to be fabricated and brought on site in time to meet the aggressive schedule.

Upon completion, the 5.73-acre Phase IV parcel will feature a four-story 179,500-square-foot clubhouse and 38-residence Assisted Living and Memory Care Center with a parking structure, as well as a separate 6,200-square-foot Center for Healthy Living.

Located at the corner of Airport-Pulling Road and Golden Gate Parkway in Naples, the project is the continuation of a partnership between Moorings Park, Suffolk, teaming partner Morton and Wasmer Builders, and architects PerkinsEastman and BSSW Architects, Inc.
