ACMA folk musicians to perform at South Fort Myers venue

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Aug. 23, 2016) – In conjunction with the Lee County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 13051 Bell Tower Drive in Fort Myers, will be one of this year’s hosts of the Island Hopper Music Festival in September.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, eight members of the Americana Community Music Association, Inc. will perform original songs and discuss the stories behind their songs.

The lineup will include Alan Bradford, a unique guitar player and an “old soul” singer and songwriter; Keith Parker who started playing guitar at age 13 and enjoys many different genres that have influenced his original compositions; Bob Williams, who has been writing songs for 40 years; New Englander’s Boz & Bon (Mark & Bonnie) who have been making music together for more than 20 years; Songwriter David Hintz; Dan Philgreen; Dave Clayton of The Clayton Gang; and Joe Virga who has been performing as a singer and songwriter for more than 40 years, offering unique chord structure melodies, poignant words and distinct tenor that have set him apart in the Florida Folk community.

The open-seating show will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. where tickets are available for a $10 donation to the ACMA. A cash bar will be available.

The third annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest returns Sept. 23 through Oct. 2. The free festival offers a range of star-studded performances. For more information, visit www.islandhopperfest.com.
