Bennett's new breakfast offerings 2016 Bennett's Overnight Oats

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Aug. 30, 2016) – Bennett’s Fresh Roast is adding two new tasty offerings to its menu.

Beginning Friday, Sept. 2, Bennett’s will offer its new Apple Fritter and a daily selection of Bennett’s Overnight Oats.

The new Apple Fritter is a fluffy pastry that includes apples and other special homemade ingredients resulting in an extra creamy and delicious creation.

“We went through a lot of variations before coming up with this final recipe,” said Bennett’s owner Bob Grissinger. “We know there are many apple fritters out there, but in true Bennett’s fashion, we think ours is hard to beat and are betting our customers love it as much as our fresh, hand-cut donuts.”

Bennett’s Overnight Oats are oats soaked under refrigeration in cream and yogurt with fresh fruit filling and spices for just the right amount of sweetness. Each serving is served in-house in individual lock-top mason jars and is high in protein, calcium and fiber. Daily offerings will rotate between a variety of flavors including Spiced Peach, Red Raspberry Almond, Blackberry, Black Walnut Apple, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Spice.

“This is a step outside the box for us, but we think our customers of all ages will enjoy this new creation,” said Grissinger.

Both Bennett’s locations will offer the Overnight Oats for $4.99 per serving and the Apple Fritter for $2.50 each while supplies last.

Bennett’s Fresh Roast has prided itself on its fresh-from-scratch donuts made daily and being the only Fort Myers donut shop to serve fresh roasted coffee from the finest beans, resulting in the most flavorful and freshest cup of coffee around.

In addition to fresh roasted coffee and hand-cut-from-scratch donuts, Bennett’s also offers fresh desserts from Grissinger’s own recipe book including praline bread pudding and lemon bars, giving area residents an alternative for afternoon treats. It also features packaged whole bean or ground coffees, breakfast muffins, oatmeal and breakfast sandwiches. On the weekends, Bennett’s Strata (a layered baked breakfast dish) is a regular sellout at its downtown location, while the Strata is available every day on Sanibel. The Sanibel shop also offers a pancake dish for breakfast. Tea lovers may choose from a large variety of Harney & Sons Fine Teas. Lunch offerings, including paninis, soups, sandwiches, three signature salads and Bennett’s Lobster Roll, Chicken & Donut and Donut Dog, are available Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bennett’s Sanibel location also offers Artisan Gelato by Norman Love daily beginning at 11 a.m. until closing.

Bennett’s downtown Fort Myers shop is located at 2011 Bayside Parkway and is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its Sanibel shop is located at 1020 Periwinkle Way and is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
