FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2017) – Financial advisors Danielle and Graham Lucht of Alliance Financial Group will present 10, one-hour presentations on Florida domicile, Medicare, estate planning, maximizing social security benefits and college planning in February.
The sessions are free and open to public.
On Feb. 9 and 28 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., the Luchts will educate attendees on strategies to defer up to 25 percent of their IRA’s required minimum distribution (RMD) and the best techniques to maximize Social Security. This seminar is best for anyone who hasn’t started taking his or her social security benefits and will show the potential costs of taking Social Security too early.
On Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., attendees will learn the benefits and drawbacks to 529 plans, the Florida Pre-Paid Plan and other traditional college-savings instruments.
“Saving for college is getting more and more difficult for parents with the rising cost of higher education, the highs and lows of the stock market, and the pressure to save for their own retirement,” said Danielle Lucht. “This presentation will leave parents of children of all ages with tips and strategies to put them back in the driver’s seat for planning for college.”
On Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the couple will host an estate planning and domicile workshop for new full-time and part-time residents to learn how Florida laws differ from other states, about declaring Florida residency and how to use the power of Florida laws to their advantage.
Finally, on Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., attendees are invited to hear renowned author and expert Peter Stahl discuss why Medicare planning is a financial must. Author of Top of the First – The Convergence of Health Care and Financial Planning and sought after speaker, Stahl makes navigating through a complex and ever-changing health care landscape comprehensible to all.
“Pre-retirees increasingly cite the cost of health care as their top financial concern for retirement,” said Lucht. “Many retirees will spend the largest percentage of their income on health and medical cost, larger the recreation and housing combined.”
This workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive and effective view of one’s retirement income plan with new and clearer understanding of the critical components including Medicare and custodial care.
