NAPLES, Fla. (Jan. 23, 2017) – Ryan Benson, principal with A. Vernon Allen Builder, has been appointed as chairman of the Collier Building Industry Association’s (CBIA) Governmental Affairs Committee.
The Governmental Affairs Committee strives to keep lines of communication open between the industry, and city and county building officials through meetings and educational seminars. It also monitors local, state and federal legislation and works with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) on pending legislation that affects the building industry.
Benson holds a LEED Green Associate accreditation and is a certified building contractor, real estate broker and community association manager.
He is very involved in several community organizations including previously serving as president of Naples Gulf Shore Rotary Club, a board of trustees member for Canterbury School and currently serves on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.
The Collier Building Industry Association is a nonprofit professional association of dedicated industry professionals who are inspired to make a difference in the community through advocacy, education, networking and philanthropy.
