FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2017) – Fischler Property Company recently assisted in the sale of 15 acres of vacant, entitled land located at 3461North Key Drive in North Fort Myers.

The parcel is zoned Commercial Tourist (CT) and Intensive Development.

The seller was OptimumBank, and the buyer is Douglas Rodante Realty, LLC.

Michael F. Curran of Fischler Property Company consulted on the sale of this waterfront site fronting the Caloosahatchee River directly across from the heart of Fort Myers’s downtown River District.

The property is at the terminus of North Key Drive in a private cul-de-sac neighborhood with guard-gated access and is surrounded by water on three sides. There are 74 existing boat-slips on the property with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.

“This was a bank-owned property that had been on the market almost seven years,” said Curran, who specializes in investment sales and acquisitions, and landlord representation. “It’s one of North Fort Myers’s best assets – a great riverfront location, but there were a number of issues that needed to be hurdled before the right buyer could be comfortable. The momentum of this sale and the current downtown revival will hopefully help spark further redevelopment in the North Fort Myers commercial corridor along 41 north of the river. Recent market data suggests the time is right.”

Fischler Property Company is a commercial real estate firm focused on investment, infill and redevelopment across Southwest Florida. Curran serves on the Develop North Fort Myers committee.

“The sale of this property in North Fort Myers is the type of investment that could revitalize and spur further development,” said Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman. “Our Develop North Fort Myers initiative, led by the Lee County Economic Development Office and the Horizon Council, continues to explore other opportunities to create places to live, start a business and enjoy the high quality of life in North Fort Myers.”
