NAPLES, Fla. (Nov. 13, 2017) – Ryan Benson, principal with A. Vernon Allen Builder in Naples has been named a National Association of Home Builders Region A finalist for the 2017 NAHB Young Professional Award. 

 

The NAHB Young Professional Awards recognizes young building industry professionals under the age of 45 who propel their careers forward; advance in all three levels of the NAHB Federation; advocate for the home building industry; engage with their peers; and establish themselves as exceptional members of their communities.

Benson will join 15 other finalists at NAHB’s Young Professional Committee meeting during the 2018 International Builders Show in Orlando where they will recognize all finalists and award winners for each region during the meeting on Monday, January 8, 2018.

 

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and his Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University in Miami. He has been in the construction industry for 16 years and in 2017 was named as one of Gulfshore Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 recipients.

 

Benson is involved in a number of organizations, including serving as a board member and chairman of government affairs for the Collier Building Industry Association, past president of Naples Gulfshore Sunset Rotary, vice chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County and a past trustee for Canterbury School.

In 1951, A Vernon Allen established the company, which became one of the first homebuilders in Port Royal and is the largest builder in the Port Royal Community today, as well as one of the most established and finest custom homebuilders in Naples.
