Estero, Fla.  –  November17, 2017 – Suffolk recently partnered with industry partners to raise money for the American Heart Association’s annual Collier County Heart Walk. Suffolk’s Chief Operating Officer Pete Tuffo, a long-time supporter of the cause, served as this year’s Heart Walk chair.

More than 25 Suffolk team and family members participated in the Heart Walk on Saturday, November 4 at Cambier Park in Naples.

Prior to the Walk, Suffolk hosted a kickoff event raising more than $23,000 towards the industry’s collective $50,000 goal for the 2017 event. More than 30 people attended the kickoff held in October at the Veranda restaurant in downtown Fort Myers.  During the event, guests were able to hear stories from families whose lives have been changed by the efforts of the American Heart Association. The event also featured activity stations to represent the four pillars of wellness that support a healthy heart – all part of Suffolk’s Live Smart initiative.

The annual Heart Walk raises life-saving dollars in support of the mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke, the nation’s No.1 and No.5 killers.
